(1) 著書 単著 1. 『フィリピン独立問題史──独立法問題をめぐる米比関係史の研究(1929-1946年)』(龍渓書舎、1997年1月15日)、全383頁。 1934年独立法で定められた独立の期日と諸条件の変更、すなわち独立法改正問題を中心とする米比関係史を検討することにより、1930年代からアジア・太平洋戦争に到る国際環境のなかで独立への道を歩んだフィリピンの国家形成史において、非植民地化の契機がむしろ失われてゆく過程を明らかにした。アメリカ学会清水博賞受賞（1997年）。
歴史学研究会より、『現代歴史学の成果と課題（第４次）』全３巻が刊行されました。第１次（1974年）、第２次（1982年）、第３次（2002年）に引き続き、「認識論的な問いと新自由主義という時代状況が重なる」2001年〜2015年までの現代歴史学の展開を主たる対象として、歴史学の方法，世界史像，歴史実践を中心軸に，歴史学の現在とその課題を照射することをめざしています。私は第３巻『歴史実践の現在』のなかで、「歴史修正主義とのたたかい」をめぐって、「歴史修正主義とその背景」と題して、日本とヨーロッパにおける歴史修正主義問題の展開を論じました。
